Newcomer Women's Health Clinic

Our mandate is to provide services
to women who are new arrivals to Canada

Services are provided by a nurse practitioner, and include but are not limited to; cervical cancer screening, breast screening, testing for sexually transmitted infections, contraceptive (birth control) counseling, and general women’s health care. Women eligible for this service are welcome to attend the clinic for a single visit, or multiple visits for up to 2 years.

We provide health services to women who meet the following criteria:

  • New to Canada (less than 5 years)
  • 18 years of age or older
  • No regular healthcare provider

Friends, family, or service providers may book an appointment on behalf of a woman who is unable or uncomfortable speaking English. Medical interpreters are available for women who need assistance during their clinic visit.
