Allison73AllisonThank you for making my abortion procedure as smooth as possible. To the friendly administration woman, whose voice and persona was warm amd welcoming. To M, the counsellor, who was calming, made me laugh, knew her stuff and was thorough with questions and answers. To nurse A, who was super peaceful, chatted me up, gave me a warm blanket and empathy. 11/05/2018 5:59:24 PM
Anonymous 72Anonymous To nurse Sandy in the NICU, your gentle manner really helped our Yukon family's anxiety as we wrapped up our stay. You encouraged us to rest when we could and gave us confidence in our skills as you supervised how we cared for our son. It is not only your years of experience that make you an asset: it is the way you worked with us. I hope that many families will get to work with you in the years to come. Take care.10/05/2018 6:23:35 AM
Anonymous 71Anonymous Nurse Erin, your enthusiasm and passion for neonatal care and for family education blew me away. From the beginning of our son's NICU admission you included me in his care in a gentle and enthusiastic way that really resonated with us. You were attentive to our son's needs and employed what we have learned later to be developmental care principles that best simulated the womb. Keep it up: you rock!10/05/2018 6:19:07 AM
Anonymous70AnonymousThank you, Nurse Melissa, for listening to what our family needed during a stressful time for us in the NICU. Your advocacy and support to allow our family to briefly stay in the family room really helped to have our son connect with his mother after an extended separation, and it also eased my stress as a father and partner who was desperately trying to balance meeting the needs of 2 people. Thank you!10/05/2018 6:14:05 AM
Anonymous 69Anonymous To nurse Zain, we wanted to say how we very much appreciated your approach with our family during our NICU stay. We continue to apply the skills you taught and modeled for us. Your care and concern that you shared with our son was heartfelt and the many babies that will continue to work with you are lucky to have your skills and dedication. Your careful application of tough love was what I needed. Thanks!10/05/2018 6:10:05 AM
Anonymous 68Anonymous To pharmacist, Jason, in the NICU. Our Yukon family wanted to thank you for your help during our NICU stay. You were up front when you did not know an answer, you listened and reflected back our question/concern, you gave balanced and critical analysis of pharmaceutical options, you explained your rationale in plain language and were very approachable. Thank you for addressing our questions and continue the amazing work!10/05/2018 6:04:55 AM
Anonymous67AnonymousNurse Jan-Louise, our Yukon family very much appreciated the skills you shared to give us the confidence to care for our son during his stay on the Rabbit pod. What really set you apart was your constant encouragement and affirmation of our fledgling skills, which for first-time parents who felt anxious with handling our small son, made a big difference in giving us the confidence to provide care.10/05/2018 6:00:10 AM
Anonymous 66Anonymous Dear Nurse Angela - your skills, time and experience made our stay on Rabbit pod a very rich learning experience. We appreciated your patience with us and how careful you were in noting the changes in our son as he moved through some critical milestones in his feeding journey. We are very grateful for your help and wanted to say that the future parents at the pod are lucky to work with you. 10/05/2018 5:56:36 AM
Megan65MeganWe received exceptional care at B.C. Women’s during the birth of our daughter on Feb 14, and we are so grateful. The outstanding nurses (especially Cedar Ward) made my experience so much better than I expected, and their support was so important to me. The care and support we received throughout the admittance, labour, and delivery process and the next day were so amazing and so appreciated.17/04/2018 10:10:57 PM
