We ask visitors who are not parents or caregivers to follow BC Women’s Hospital visitor guidelines and hours. This allows care teams to focus their attention on delivering care.
For more information on visiting hours, please call: 604-875-2929
Families are welcome to visit between 10:00 a.m - 10:00 p.m.
Families are welcome to visit between 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. One dedicated family member/support person may stay with the new mother 24-hours a day to help with personal or baby care.
Please ask your family and friends to respect these visiting hours as you need quiet time to recover from birth and begin to learn about your baby. Special requests can be made to the charge nurse. Please limit the number of visitors at any one time for the comfort of yourself and your roommate.
If you feel sick or have cold and flu-like symptoms, please avoid visiting a patient until you feel better. This protects both patients and our entire health care community. Anyone who has an infectious illness (such as a respiratory infection, tuberculosis, German measles, chicken pox, or a skin infection) must not visit the hospital.
For patients on our specialized care units such as FIR (Families in Recovery), please contact the hospital operator at 604-875-2424 to connect with the unit for individual visiting hours.
To access free Wi-Fi on campus, connect to the “CWGuest” network and accept the Terms and Conditions.
