The Oak Tree Clinic at BC Women's Hospital is a leader in providing specialized clinical care to women, children and their families living with HIV, reproductive infectious disease, and congenital infectious diseases.
The Oak Tree Clinic provides specialized interprofessional care for women, children, youth and families affected by HIV/AIDS, reproductive infectious diseases and congenital infectious diseases across British Columbia.
We also provide education for patients, families and health care providers, as well as advocate for improved prevention, diagnosis and care, and participate in women-focused research and clinical trials.
Through the Canadian Children’s Literacy Foundation, we promote early literacy for children up to five year’s of age by sharing books and promoting conversations during clinic visits. We also participate in the
Ribbon Society Peer Navigator Program.
We accept referrals from doctors, midwives, community health nurses, other health care providers, and patients. Please visit our
referral page for further information.
Once we have received and accepted a referral, a booking clerk will call you to schedule an appointment. During your visit, you may meet multiple team members and have lab work done.
After each visit, we send a summary to your nurse practitioner, family or referring doctor. You may opt out by asking reception to remove a care provider from your records.
Your privacy is extremely important to us. We will not disclose your medical status without your consent unless required by law. Our clinic will ask your permission to obtain medical information from your family doctor to better understand your medical history and current care needs.
Our hours of service are Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
