Complex Menopause Clinic

We provide virtual and in-person care for people across BC who have severe menopause symptoms. Our health care team includes practitioners certified by The Menopause Society.

About
We provide care for:
  • Women and gender-diverse people who experience severe menopause symptoms, including those who have tried treatment with a health care provider without success 
  • People with medical conditions that limit their ability to use certain  menopause treatments, such as hormone therapy

​This includes people:

  • Living with HIV
  • With spinal cord injuries
  • With premature menopause (spontaneous or treatment-related)
  • With primary ovarian insufficiency

Our services

  • Consultation with a menopause specialist
  • Counselling and education
  • Medication management
  • Referrals to additional
  • Pelvic examinations, when needed​

Our clinic specializes in caring for patients with severe menopause symptoms, or with complex menopause care needs. For regular menopause concerns, please talk to your family doctor or nurse practitioner.

Our team

Our team is made up of gynecologists, family physicians and nurse practitioners ​trained in menopause care. All team members are menopause certified practitioners ensuring you receive expert care.

BC Women's Hospital is a teaching hospital, which means that learners such as fellows and residents may be involved in your care, always under the supervision of experienced specialists.​​

Referral information

To book an appointment, a doctor or nurse practitioner must first submit a referral form. If we accept the referral, our clinic will contact the patient directly to schedule an appointment.

If we accept the referral, our clinic will contact the patient directly to book an appointment. If the patient needs follow-up care, we will also contact them directly to book a follow-up appointment.
