This typically includes people living with physical or intellectual disabilities; people with previous traumatic pelvic exams; people with a history of sexual abuse/assault; or people with obesity who require an accessible exam table.

We accept self-referrals or referrals from health care professionals. Please visit the
referral page to ensure you meet our eligibility criteria, and to find the referral form.
You may also be eligible for at-home HPV self-screening kits, which you can use instead of traditional Pap testing. To order a testing kit or to learn more, visit
BC Cancer’s cervix cancer screening program or call 1-877-702-6566.
During your appointment you will meet with one of our female nurse practitioners. BC Women’s Hospital is a provincial teaching centre, so there may be gynecology fellows and residents participating in your care.
If you need help with mobility, please consider asking someone to come to your appointment with you.
