Currently, there are minimal impacts to care at BC Women’s Hospital + Health Centre due to the ongoing BC Nurses’ Union (BCNU) job action.
Nurses are valued members of our health care community, and BC Women’s respects the right of workers to bargain collectively.
During job action, our hospital has plans in place to support patients and families in accessing the care they need.
If there is a necessary change to your appointment and/or procedure, your clinical team will contact you directly. They will offer you the earliest possible alternative date.
Do not delay in seeking emergency or urgent care if you need it. If you have plans to deliver your baby at BC Women's Hospital please proceed as planned to the hospital.
