Recurrent Pregnancy Loss

We  help women and their partners who have experienced recurrent pregnancy loss.
Our Service

We are a team of health care professionals, including doctors, nurses, ultrasound technologists, and counselors who will support you through your investigation and treatment.  For more information about our service, read our brochure The Recurrent Pregnancy Loss Clinic.  

Recurrent pregnancy loss is when a woman experiences 2 or more consecutive miscarriages (1 miscarriage after another). Women who have experienced a single late miscarriage (at greater than 10 weeks gestational age) will also be seen.  

We provide:

  • Gynecologic consultation
  • Investigation of recurrent early or late miscarriage
  • Surgical correction of uterine abnormalities
  • Internal medicine consultation
  • Ultrasound monitoring in early pregnancy
  • Hysteroscopy
  • Education
  • Referrals for emotional support, grief and loss counselling
Referrals & Appointments


Physician referral is required for this clinic. Referring physicians please fax referral and all supporting documentation (previous ultrasounds, pathology reports, consultations) to 604-875-3136 or contact the clinic nurse for more information at 604-875-3628.

Who is eligible for the RPL clinic?

Women who have had either 2 consecutive miscarriages greater than 6 weeks gestational age, or a single miscarriage greater than 10 weeks gestational age are eligible for referral to the clinic.
