Psychiatric Services offers coverage of a range of topics associated with psychiatric care, including treatment and service delivery. The journal emphasizes issues of clinical importance, but additionally includes articles relating to administrative, legal, economic and policy issues.

Sexualities, Evolution and Gender provided interdisciplinary debate on 'gendered' human behaviour, emotions and thought, particularly in relation to sexual behaviours, sexual relationships, the body, and the concept of identity. The title ceased in 2006.

Social Politics: International Studies in Gender, State & Society examines political systems and cultural institutions through the lens of gender. It addresses changes in family, state, market, and civil society, employing several disciplines and drawing from a variety of cultures to illuminate these areas of research.

Tobacco Control publishes articles that deal with the ramifications of tobacco use in the global arena, as well as pieces on the mechanisms by which smoking affects health, the economy, environment and society. Efforts to prevent and promote tobacco use in various sectors are also investigated in the journal. Research articles include evaluations of smoking prevention programs, tobacco control policies and legislation, epidemiological and behavioural effects of tobacco use, and other issues.

The journal draws from a number of fields, both medical and non-medical, to elaborate on issues affecting women's health. As the official journal of the Jacobs Institute of Women's Health, it is dedicated to improving the health and health care of all women throughout the lifespan and in diverse communities. The journal seeks to inform health services researchers, health care and public health professionals, social scientists, policymakers, and others concerned with women's health.
