New temporary Labour and Delivery entrance is steps away from the old entrance.

The new temporary Labour and Delivery entrance is open. Patients in labour, or who are scheduled for caesarean sections or other surgeries and procedures, please use the new entrance.

The BC Women’s Labour and Delivery entrance (number 97) has changed. The current entrance has closed and the new temporary one (located to the right of the current entrance, as shown in the photo above) is now open. Signage is in place to clearly direct patients and families to the new entrance.

Maternity patients seeking hospital admission or urgent assessment and consultation—including patients in labour, scheduled caesarean section (C-section), and other surgeries and procedures—should enter the hospital through the new Labour and Delivery entrance and follow signage to the new temporary Admitting and Assessment Room area.

All other patients, as well as families and visitors should use entrance 93.

We thank you for your patience.
