Volunteer Opportunities
The prospective volunteer will fill out an application form answering a few questions about his/her education, background, volunteer and/or work experience, personal skills, and time available.
The volunteer will be interviewed individually by the Coordinator of volunteers. Possible areas of placement and an outline of service requirements will be discussed with the applicant at this time. If accepted to the program all volunteers must attend an orientation/training session.
There are many volunteer opportunities available during the weekdays. If your free time is primarily on weekends or evenings, please be patient - it may take up to six months for us to reach your application.
It is important that you carefully consider your involvement and commitment as a volunteer at BC Women’s Hospital & Health Centre, BC Children's Hospital or the Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children. Not everyone is suitable or accepted for the programs offered.
