The Heartwood Centre for Women, located at BC Women’s, is the new women’s provincial tertiary residential treatment program. It focuses on women with substance dependence, mental health concerns and primary health care needs. The Heartwood program is part of BC Mental Health & Addiction Services.
Heartwood replaces the Aurora program, which closed in August 2011.

What Heartwood offers
Heartwood is a robust program offering full continuum of residential treatment, including stabilization. It will be supported by an interdisciplinary team that includes:

- Recreation therapist
- Dietician
