Affiliations & partners
The Pharmacy Department is aligned with the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, UBC and a network of local and Canadian hospital pharmacies, and professional bodies and patient safety agencies.
The department maintains productive and positive relationships with the many on-site programs. All pharmacy systems and clinical pharmacist involvement is done cooperatively. Ongoing discussions are held at the administrative level, and daily with the clinical pharmacist(s) assigned to a program.
Of particular note is the model of cooperation developed in several areas of practice. Oncology, AIDS, Pediatric, and the Research Institute demonstrate model environments in which both the program needs and the medication and patient safety objectives have been met.
