Placing an Order
We recommend that you read our ordering policies prior to making any purchases from SPDC. Please allow up to three working days to process (not receive) orders. Non-stock special order items usually take five working days, but may take up to three weeks.
Product Returns
Effective April 1, 2009, the return period is 60 days from date of purchase. Please keep your receipt for any refund or exchange.
Important note about shipped orders:
Please check all items upon delivery and notify carrier, DHL, of any damaged or missing goods within 48 hours of receipt. Call DHL 1-800-225-5345.

Product News
Abbott Nutrition has launched a new product called "Promod Liquid Protein". It is a concentrated source of protein and calories for people with increased protein and calorie needs.
Some features of Promod Liquid:
- Lactose- and gluten-free
- Contains 10g of hydrolyzed protein and 100 kcal per 30mL serving
- Provides essential, conditionally essential, and non-essential amino acids
- Comes in a Fruit Punch flavour
- Can be used orally or as a tube feeding
Promod Liquid is now available in limited quantities from SPDC, either by the case or bottle. No deposit required.

Did You Know? SimplyThick is a gel thickener that can be used in all cold and hot liquids as well as supplements, pop, wine, and spirits. It does not alter the taste of the liquid it is thickening, and does not become thicker upon standing. The single serving packets are in stock. The economical larger format that thickens 32oz/1L of liquid per packet is available as a special order.
Neosure Nursettes are now available through SPDC. If you have a newborn baby who requires a slightly higher energy formula in a ready-to-feed format, please visit us to pick up a supply.

Did You Know?
Quick Pick-Up:
To get in and out more quickly, you may call our office to pre-pay for your order before pickup. There is no charge for parking if you exit the grounds within 15 minutes of entering.
Our building has a new label. Instead of a 'C' on the outside, the wing containing SPDC is now called '79'. The new naming convention should make it easier for all visitors to find the building/service they are looking for.

Breast Pump Rental Program
Breast pumps and breastfeeding-related products
SPDC is pleased to offer expanded service hours for clients who wish to return a rental breast pump. Outside of SPDC's opening hours, pumps may be returned during the following times:
Mon - Fri 6pm - midnight
Sat, Sun, & Holidays 10am-6pm
During our closed hours, come to Room C106, get a form from our door, and follow the instructions on the form. Breast pump charges will be applied up to and including the day before return. So easy and convenient!
Freebie for New Moms!
Stay dry day or night. For each rental or purchase of a breast pump from SPDC, you will receive four Lansinoh disposable nursing pads at no charge. Offer good while supplies last.

Jun 17/10 - All three flavours of Loprofin Wafers have been discontinued by the vendor and are no longer available.
Jun 17/10 - Effective immediately, Loprofin pastas (except animal) are available as a special order by the case only.
Milupa lp-drink is a drink mix that acts as a milk substitute. It is:
- low in protein
- low in phenylalanine
- contains calcium, iodine, magnesium, and vitamins
- gluten-free
- easily soluble in cold and hot water
- suitable for cooking and baking
Tip: lp-Drink can be heated and foamed to make lattés and cappucinos!

Important message to all users of metabolic formulas:
Please advise us 3-4 weeks in advance of when you need another release of formula. Many are not stocked by SPDC, and it can take several weeks to get specialized formula in. Note that unused formulas that must be returned to the vendor will incur a 25% restocking fee which clients may be responsible to pay.

How to find SPDC: Customer Parking PDF map
From off-site: Enter through the gate on Heather Street. Go straight until you arrive at the stop sign. Go past the stop sign and down a gentle hill past the BC Women's Health Centre. SPDC is located in the building labelled '79' at the bottom of the hill. The two parking spots closest to the building are reserved for SPDC clients. Complimentary 15 minute parking.
On-site: SPDC is located in Room C106 in the same corridor as the cafeteria. It is at the south end, on the left just before Health Information Services (formerly Health Records).
