Prenatal, newborn and infant research
BC Women's works closely with research teams from
BC Children's Hospital
and the
Child & Family Research Institute
in areas of maternal and newborn health, infant behavior and child development.
The
Fetal and Newborn Behavior
study is working with pregnant women and their infants to further define how mother's mood and antidepressant medication use during pregnancy influences early brain development and behavior. This study is currently recruiting healthy pregnant women and pregnant women experiencing depression.
