Welcome to the Breast Health Services webpage at BC Women’s Hospital and Health Centre.
Our multidisciplinary team includes specialized technologists, radiologists, nurses, and clerks. We offer two different services to women in British Columbia: Screening Mammography and Diagnostic Services.
Screening Mammography:
This program offers screening mammograms, which are the best way to find early breast cancer. The earlier a cancer is detected, the more options a woman has for treatment and the better chance she has for a cure. Please see the Screening Mammography page for more information on about this service and how to book a screening mammogram.
Diagnostic Services:
This program is for women who have an abnormality detected from their Screening Mammogram, or by an examination by their physician. A physician referral is required for this service. For more information, including our downloadable referral form, please see the Diagnostic Servicespage.
