For Friends and Family
When a woman has to make a decision about an unplanned pregnancy, or a pregnancy that has had medical complications, it can be extremely stressful for everyone involved with the decision. This stress may make it difficult for you and your partner, or friend, or family member to act as understanding, considerate and supportive friends to one another.
In this situation, it is important to recognize and support the pregnant woman’s decision. Every woman, regardless of her age or background, has the right to make decisions about her own body. As a person close to her, you can play an enormous role in helping her feel confident and comfortable with her decision.
