Visit the Medical Services Plan of BC (MSP) website for information on medical insurance.
The staff clinic provides care for pregnant women who meet the following conditions.
- You have no medical coverage or your medical coverage is pending (if MSP coverage is obtained prior to 30 weeks pregnancy, the patient may be referred to the Family Practice Maternity Service for ongoing care).
- You have landed immigrant or refugee status.
- You have special client status (decided on by the referring clinic). This is a joint program with Vancouver Coastal Health.
- You have no access to prenatal care.

Contact our Patient Relations Clerk for information about the cost of delivering your baby at BC Women's if:
- you have no medical insurance, and you do not meet the critiera for care via our staff clinic
- you meet BC Women's criteria for pre-registration
