Specialized Women's Health
BC Women’s Department of Specialized Women’s Health is unique in Canada and perhaps, North America for its broad collection of programs. These programs include: Aboriginal Women's Health, Sexual Assault, Reproductive Mental Health (including a PMS Clinic), Reproductive Medicine (Recurrent Pregnancy Loss, and Infertility and Special Needs Gynaecology), Continence, Family Planning, Breast Health, Osteoporosis, Addiction and Women living with HIV. Specialized Women's Health Programs
TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES & INFORMATION:
- Women's Health Elective (2-week elective with placements in the programs listed above. It may also be possible to attend some community youth clinics during this elective).
- All medical students MUST apply for electives directly to the University of British Columbia's MD Undergraduate Program:

International Medical Students must be in their final year and attending an accredited medical school in the United States, or an approved medical school in the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand or South Africa. Note: Canadian citizens are ineligible if they are studying in locations other than those identified above.
