In a survey released by the provincial government on January 27, 2010, the Provincial Health Services Authroity's (PHSA) two acute care facilities, BC Children’s Hospital and BC Women’s Hospital & Health Centre, earned top marks from patients for the care they provide.
PHSA had the highest overall quality of care rating of all the health authorities at 96.8%, up from the 95.3% that PHSA scored in 2005. At BC Children’s, 98.2 % of respondents rated overall care as excellent, very good or good. At BC Women’s, that score was 96.1%.
