Business Development
The Provincial Health Services Authority’s (PHSA) Business Development Office has recently merged with the PHSA Alternate Service Delivery Office (ASD). The ASD reports directly to the Vice President of Clinical and Support Services.
PHSA operates eight agencies that provide province-wide health care services, including the BC Cancer Agency, BC Centre for Disease Control, BC Children's Hospital and Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children, BC Provincial Renal Agency, BC Transplant Society, BC Women's Hospital & Health Centre, the Forensic Psychiatric Services Commission and Riverview Hospital.
The ASD department is responsible for managing:
- Both contracted and non-contracted housekeeping and food services across PHSA
- Waste Removal and Disposition
- Recycling Removal and Disposition
- Room set up and small office moves and furniture disposition
- Interior Pest Control
- Exterior Window Washing
- Second Cup
- Starbucks
- Vending across PHSA
- Managed Print Service (MPS)
- Heather House Hostel, which is a 19 room facility the BC Children's Hospital and BC Women's Hospital & Health Centre site. It offers accommodation to people from out of town who are family or friends of patients being treated at either BC Children's, BC Women's or one of the neighbouring health facilities.
